Exclamation Service engine soon light

Hi all,

I installed new e3.54 spark plugs on my 2002 SS. The car was not burning the entire mixture before and there would be plumes of smoke out the exhaust at WOT. So after I changed the plugs, the car back fired under load which i kinda expected. however, the second day, the car backfired more and surged and hesitated on low rpm, high throttle input situations. I thought it was one of the sensors acting up. so i tore apart the airbox and maf to make sure there were no leaks. I checked the EGR for leaks and I ran the car with the MAF unplugged for a few seconds. this seemed to help and now there are no more backfires or hesitations. However, the service engine soon light comes on at high RPM in 4th or 5th gear BUT IT DOESNT REGISTER ANY CODES. Im at a total lose. Please let this PCM noob

Thanks!

Default Service engine soon light

What color is the smoke, and how much smoke is it...?

Was calibration edited for 40 lb/hr injectors (running at 58 psi rail pressure)...?

Does it have a K&N filter (is MAF dirty)...?

What scantool are you using to check for DTC's...?

Smoke is gray not blue at all. And it's not that bad, it's only noticeable for 1-2 seconds right after high rpm and fast shift
