Reading or copying Diablosport tune with HP Tuners?
I have a Diablosport Trinity in my 2010 GMC. I have a custom tune that I like for my truck.
I am picking up HP tuners pro for another project I am working on. Since I am getting the HP tuners it doesn't seem necessary to keep both. Can I use the HP tuners to read the tune that is in my truck from my the Diablosport copy the tune and be able to remove the Trinity and sell it or is that not possible?

I'd suggest that you also use the Trinity to reload the stock tune, then read with HPT.
BTW, once you make even one change with HPT, the Trinity will know and will force you to reinstall the stock tune.

Great. I was hoping that was the case.
I think I should read the Diablosport custom tune but make no changes with HPtuners while the diablosport tune is in the car. Then when I have the copy of the diablo tune in HPT reload the stock tune using the trinity to the truck, then use the HPtuners from then on. The Diablosport should be good to sell at that point?

Yes you can. HPT has no issues reading Diablo tunes. Even when locked. Shhhhh!

A lot of the time trying to tune behind a handheld or trying to read a handheld tune and tune on top of it will cause issues on vehicles 2007+ and especially diesels. I cant count how many I have had to flash back to 100% stock with tune from GM in order to tune them after a handheld was on them and removed. Some brand handhelds are worth than others about it but to safe you'll need to start with a virgin file.

We don't lock PCMs, just tune files so others cant open them in CMR if they didn't lock them, but that has no bearing on the file in the PCM itself.

As mentioned, best to read out the stock file and load your tune from there as opposed to flashing over our tune to avoid any potential issues.
Thanks
