Default Custom ECU programming for LS3 in in airplane

putting a LS3 in an airplane and wanted to have the ECM reprogrammed for better efficiency (calibrating for prop loads, ect..) and removing limp mode so the engine can produce max power in event of a failure that would normally cause reduced limp power, as well as inputs default to a average reading should a sensor fail.

Looking for recommendations of programmers capable of doing this.

With the stock computer it's not possible.

You might look into the Megasquirt controller as the hardware and software are all open-source. Perhaps someone has already done it, or a Megasquirt guru could do it for you.
BTW - Several small companies now sell Megasquirt as ready-to-install kits with harnesses for various cars and much more.

Years ago we set up a few ls1 pcms for some homemade airplanes. They were cable throttle body though so it was alot different. With a LS3 and drive by wire I would assume you would run a E38 ECM. With a E38 ECM I dont know of a 100% way to make it where the ECM can not go into reduced power. There is also not a way to make it use a default setting is a sensor fails. Depending on the sensor it could shut the motor down or make it barely run. I would also want it to be tuned in person or atleast a base tune done on an engine dyno before using it in a plane.

How do you have that much money to be able to afford an airplane, an LS3-into-airplane conversion and also have a pilots licence is all I can think of..

I would think that for aviation usage you would try to eliminate as many single-failure-points as possible... (i.e. DBW, ECM, injectors, possible limp mode).
