Default WTF! is going on?

Ok....so im sure some have read my post about my newest escapade with my car....if not then here is it..https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...d-news-ta.html

car ran fine up to this point.

after fixing the OPSU I noticed the stock tach was not working and also was getting a P0342 code which is a Cam position sensor aka CPS and had all the symtoms ...hard start, backfire etc. other than that the car pulled fine idled fine..everything else was good
so i took it all back apart and noticed the CPS plug looked oil soaked so I purchased a new one and also purchased a new CPS
replaced it all ...buttoned everything back up.

turned the key and it fired right up......except the tach still was not working.
I thought maybe it was just the tach ...NOPE drove it down the road and shut it off ..hard start, back fire.

SO WTF!!!!!

I guess i need to take it to tick and have them run some tests or some **** cause i dunno what to do.

you guys have any idea?

question? if i do have to drive 4 hrs...will it hurt anything? with the issues Im having?

So I understand being aggravated, trust me, I have been there, and almost there on my own project but lets start here:

Your symptoms sound cps related 100%. With that in mind, I would start by diagnosing better. Do you have HP Tuners? If so, you can data log to see IF it sees the sensor at the ecm. I had a friend who argued his wiring was fine, in the end, it wasn't.

If no HPT, I would pull the sensor, leave it plugged in, take a meter, and check at the ecm on those pins, and pass metal by the sensor to see if the sensor is reading at the ecm that way.

I do not have or understand where the F-Bodys pic up the tach wiring, but my guess is it is part of it. Maybe someone else will chime in who knows the wiring part of Fbodys better on where to look for that tach wire.

I took it to AZ...and again had them pull them pull the codes.
P0342 and P0103
I dunno why the P0103 cause Tick removed that from throwing a code since im SD now so no MAF

I went to start it and took about 5 times of on/off key to get it to fire and backfires when attempting. My wideband was reading 20.00 so thats lean? it leveled off to the normal 14.9 after a few.
Ive never seen a reading

drove to Walmart cause i had some stuff to get....seemed to drive fine.

got outside to fire it and again about 5 times to fire....but this time was idling high ..I dont know how much cause my stock tach is not working.
I drove it home and my wideband was reading 10 to 11....so thats way rich? or do I have it backwards on the wide.

terrible ride home.....high idle and sputtering cause of the fueling issues.

so what now?

I dont have HP tuner or any kind of diagnostic tool.
Im not following how your telling me to test it.
if i pull it....I cant turn the key of anything cause i pull the positive cable. also I dont want gas going everywhere since the gas lines as disconnected from the intake.

I do have my old CPS....how can it test it?

I guess i have to pull the freakin intake again but i dunno know what im looking for after that.
I cant keep R/R to keep replacing the CPS.

Im gonna throw this car in the dumpster.

Make sure you haven't swapped the cam sensor and map sensor plugs.

Make sure you haven't reversed the cam sensor wiring.
