Have you confirmed that? Don't think thats true. You need a iac chip for it to work.

Yes I have confirmed that, but obviously you need both. You need the pcm to have the chip/driver.. AND you have to turn the electric throttle controller off to enable iac and tps

those tables don't do anything AFAIK. They're hardcoded in the OS. But, i may be wrong so I won't keep yapping without anymore info.

No sir....you keep yapping. I have a FF 3bar 1998 F-body currently rolling the streets looking for victims from your knowledge. Its people like you and bigmandengo that go the extra mile making this info available to the rest of us heathens. Thank you for what you do.

Open the file, then go to System - General - System and change the 1 under the ETC column to a 0. After that, you will need to make sure all the idle airflow tables/data are properly filled out for a cable throttle. but not all of the later PCM's have the hardware to drive the IAC stepper motor. If you wire it as a cable throttle, you will see no feedback from the TPS in the scanner software when there is a 1 in the ETC column. Once you change that to a 0 and reflash you should see TPS feedback

Does anyone have a couple examples of what applications HAVE or DON'T HAVE the hardware for the iac?

So i went to the junk yard this weekend and ran across a 04 tahoe with a p59 pcm so i snatched it up with the green and blue pieces. PCM service # 12586242, hardware # 12583660. I got my buddy to pull the PCM wiring diagrams for my 99 vette and the 04 tahoe and they seem to be mostly the same except some grounds for the 02s which i would like to make work. I am a manual car so the trans stuff im not worried about and i dont need 3 bar. Biggest things im worried about is the vette uses pin 42 on the C1 connector is used for fan relay 1 and i dont see a fan control on the p59. I guess worst case i could just plug the thing in and see what happens.

I would like to get this up and running before i pull the motor for a rebuild or a different motor so im not trying to mess with it while im trying to break in my new motor.

p59 also uses pin 42 for fan control.

You will have no issues, this was first found on a c5 vette by someone converting it to dbc from dbw.

I'm about ready to fire mine up. I'm hoping to stay under 14.7psi (2bar) with my Procharger so I can stick to the P01 411 ECM. The P59s VE table is tiny.

I emailed the guy at lt1swap about doing this swap and he was saying the tac modules may not be compatible. Has anybody swapped this in a C5 and kept the DBW to confirm this?

Cant confirm it, but my avalanche OS has all the DBW tables in it. Im using a P59 from ebay. It would be pretty sweet if you can pull that off.

I really want to do this to my 01 C5Z. So a P59 Will work for Flex fuel and 3BAR but wont support c5 DBW? I'm confused
