stumped, 4l80e TCC lock up issue
but I'm still wrasslin the 4l80e to work correctly.
my current problem is the TCC will not lock up on it's own.
I can command it in the HPT scanner and it works fine so mechanically and electronically things on the trans side are ok.
I have doen some searching around and found that false misfires from a big cam will prevent lock up, so I maxed those tables as recommend here
http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...C-Lock-up-help
however they're talking about an e67 pcm and t42 tcu, so I dont have the ability to try the other fix they recommend, which is disabling the Min TPS Throttle Release.
I'm using an 0411 pcm with a 3 bar SD with RTT.
Assuming my TCC brake switch is wired correctly (will verify asap) what else can prevent lock up? ECT? My ECT is around 160*F on the freeway
Thanks for the help!

its funny every other 4l80e swap ive done has been a snap. the one i actually use a 4l80e harness for bites me in the ***.

not very elegant, but if it's really a problem with the segment i'll have to source another pcm or OS swap this one.

reflashed with a different segment, but same 12202088 OS native to this PCM
I can still command a lock up from the HPT scanner so I think I'm good mechanically and electronically. My problem is either in the tune parameters or the segment itself.
I noticed that i'm still getting MAF codes (MAF disabled, but codes active so it defaults to the main VE) that light my MIL despite setting them to no MIL. it doesn't cause a limp mode, but i clear them and they come right back, lighting the MIL.
Another theory I have is that due to my 3600 stall and hd2 kit, the high and low speed VSS parameters as stock are inhibiting lock up.
My next step is to flash a more common OS to a spare PCM and see if that works. But then I'm out another 4 credits if that doesn't fix my problem.
guess i'm gonna flash this other PCM I have to a more common OS.
if anyone has anything else to look at first, please chime in.
I swapped to a 12212156 OS from my other 5.3/4l80e swapped truck and will copy over the 4l80e parameters in that which work excellent.
if you have an example of a stock 4l80e tune for the 12212156 OS, please share it or some screen shots of how the apply/release ought to look.
I have noticed that during certain segment swaps data is lost or transposed incorrectly. my main VE table defaults to 552 en every cell when I swap a trans segment.
fingers crossed I can get this to work
Hey thanks for the heads up. Will do.

So now I've copied that tune over to my turbo truck pcm and upgraded to a 3 bar OLSD.
I did as you suggested and copied over the second column figures to the first column...excluding the 2nd gear row. I can't imagine needing a lock up in 2nd ever.
I did max the idle misfire tables as previous, thinking that it really can't hurt. (can it?)
Now time to flash it and give 'er a test drive!!

i now think it's related to the maf code i keep getting
P0102, despite having it set to no MIL light, SES not enabled.
sigh, back to the drawing board!
