Anybody have success using Lingenfelter 58x24x Crank Sensor Trigger Conversion Module
Looking at swapping a gen4 in my camaro but it has a 58x ring on the crank and i was trying to find an alternative to pulling the crank and found this Lingenfelter TRG-002 58x-24x Crank Sensor Trigger Conversion Module, has anybody used one of these without issue?
Could i swap in a newer computer that would be compatible with the 58x, or are the connectors different?thanks

yea im trying to avoid the reluctor swap...
is theyre any noticeable differences cruising, idleing, WOT? I guess what im trying to find out is since its a convertor, is theyre any lag? does the car run like its from the factory other than the delayed starting issues iv read about? thanks

I have some customers who have using them since they came out back like 08 or 09 (long time ago) and still have them on daily drivers. There have been some revisions over the years and the current one works really well. You would never know it's on the vehicle.

Also, can the car be tuned just like if it were a gen 3 in the car? it doesnt interfere?

Just to clarify, no calibration changes are required in relation to using our TRG-002 module to achieve the correct camshaft and crankshaft signals. You reprogram the ECM/PCM just like if it had the correct reluctor wheels and cam/crank sensors in the engine for that ECM/PCM.
BUT you still need to reprogram for changes in cylinder head type that might impact desired spark advance, different fuel injector sizes, different MAF sensors, different displacement, MAP sensors, etc.
I am sure most people realize this but we have had some customers think it was plug and play and they could take out a 5.3 truck engine and install an LS3 engine in its place without needing to make any calibration changes.
BUT you still need to reprogram for changes in cylinder head type that might impact desired spark advance, different fuel injector sizes, different MAF sensors, different displacement, MAP sensors, etc.

if i understand it correctly, you only need if your doing a 58x in a 24x vehicle because newer computers are backwards compatible, a 98-02 computer wont be able to read the newer 58x wheel
No it will not.
Thats incorrect, a newer ecm that uses 58x will not work with a 24x motor.
I also read that but it didn't go anywhere. Last thing I read was that the calibration has a switch from 58x to 24x but the code in the OS wasn't set up to work with the 24x reluctor. I don't know if they found a way to make it work.
