Default Start without O2s?
Trying to start my LS swapped Cherokee today and it wouldnt start. I didn't have the O2s so they were not hooked up. Could that be my issue?

During cranking and warm up, you're in open loop, which means they are being ignored. So no that's not the reason

VATS been deleted? Scan for codes?

It's a brand new ECU with custom tube for race buggy so it doesn't have any of the factory stuff on it. Tune just to run and make power.

Ok so it's something else. No spark. Cranks and cranks, no spark.

Could it be the crank sensor?


We can't get a reading on the OBD2 with our laptop either

I bet it's VATS. Get a custom tune from someone and have it deleted or, buy yourself HPTuners or EFILive.

The ECU went back to the tuner, he said it's all good. 5.3 with my cam/head info and 4l80, no VATs. Programming a different ECU and sending that back to me. Hopefully I'll have it by Wednesday.
