Wideband Sensor Inquiry
My question is where, on a stock 2000 SS M6, would you recommend I place the sensor? I am still running the stock cats and am not sure if I should place the sensor before or after the passenger side cat.
Thanks!
it's too close-in and will be too hot (at least at the
big end). At the little end you can make use of the
narrowband sensor for normal operation (takes more
iterations to dial in fueling but many folks like to use
the narrowband-based trims for that anyway).
At the big end, cats can't do much with the exhaust
gas anyway, moving too fast. So might just reuse
the post-cat sensor bung and kill the code.

Here is a little update.
I decided to purchase the AEM 30-0333 sensor. In the next couple of weeks, TSP headers along with the TSP catted Y-pipe will be installed. If all goes as planned, I will have the wide-band sensor installed at the same time the headers and y are installed.
Would installing one sensor before the cat on the TSP catted Y-pipe be too close? I could also install the sensor just after the merge.
Thanks
