LS Tach Signal to Racepak IQ3S
I have a 2004 CTS-V LS6 swapped in to my car using a PSI Conversion Harness (HAR-1017) and a GM ECU. The PSI harness has a tachometer output wire (white).
I just finished installing a Racepak IQ3S. I connected the White PSI tach output wire to the Yellow tachometer wire going in the Racepak. The instructions say "Connect this input to the tach output signal
from your ignition box. The tachometer input
requires a standard 5 – 20 volt, 50% duty
cycled square wave signal to work properly"
The tach is not reading properly, just sort of spitting out random numbers here and there. In the Racepak settings I tried it both as an 8 cylinder and a 4 cylinder and neither work.
With my previous tachometer (glowshift) I had to use an Autometer 9123 Tach Adapter and I was hoping to not have to use it with the racepak. The previous tach sort of worked but skipped around a lot, and thats half the reason I shelled out for the racepak.
I also installed the V Net OBD module in to the PSI obd2 port, and when I moniter the RPM signal through that it is incorrect as well.
Any ideas?
