No custom OS 98 LS1
I tried to update my PCM to 2 bar OS but there is no option on HPT, when I contacted to HPT support they told me that there is not custom os for my PCM.
Is there any option like change all map related tables to half values or write a complete OS from other 98 2 bar os, or modify my OS with some hex editor, etc.???
I'd like to try all options before go for 99+ pcm.
thanks

You must have a one of a kind car. GM TIS shows that there is a new calibration for your vehicle that updated 9366200 to 9375582. (New calibration to correct the A/C compressor from cycling improperly during heavy acceleration.) Unfortunately I don't have that calibration either to see if there is a custom OS for it. I looked at over 50 98 F-body files I have that I've read out since I started tuning. I don't have one with your OS and the closest I have to what you can update yours to is 9375573, 9375574 and 9375577. I can tell you that for those there is a 2 bar OS available for them. You asked what your options are before you repin for a 99+. You could ask HP Tuners if there is a 2 bar OS for 9375582 and if there is then update your PCM with GM TIS, or you could do a write entire with another 98 F-body OS that has a 2 Bar OS. HP Tuners won't let you put your VIN in an OS it never came with but that may or may not be important to you. Is this a GM export vehicle? Here is the link to where you can check the complete OS update history for your vehicle.

Be aware that flashing a different OS to a 98 PCM can easily brick it. I suggest having a plan B if that happens.
For a boosted engine I would upgrade to a 99+ PCM regardless since it's faster, has more custom OS options including Real Time Tuning and it's cheap to replace.
For the money you can get selling the 98 PCM on ebay you can do all the work for a 99+ swap.

I have yet to brick a 98 PCM flashing them with different vehicle OS. Have done lots of them. But I always use a older HP Tuners serial interface or Tunercat OBD2 serial interface and a reliable bench harness and power supply. I tell you the older serial interfaces are rock solid for just flat out working.

Thank everybody.
I found the OS 9375582 . Is it possible to get only the 2bar os or do I need to use 2 credits for license the file and 2 more credit to get 2 bar?
I attached the file in case it serves someone else.
regards

If you just get your PCM updated with TIS2Web you won't have re license anything if your PCM is already licensed. The update changes the OS to 9375582. And custom OS are free.
