I replaced the ECM in an 04' Cadillac CTS with an ECM from an 06' Cadillac STS because of a bad injector channel. I licensed both ECM's when I licensed them. I then performed a write entire of the 04' OS and calibration thinking it would also write the correct VIN, wrong. I then spent two more credits to license the bastard OS, VIN. I can make changes to any of the files now but I can't get it to wrote the VIN over to the 04' VIN. I'm going a little crazy because until the VIN is correct, the car won't run and I can't even remove the key from the ignition.

I can change the VIN but you would have to mail me the ecm. The VIN is not flashed with the tune.

I may end up having to do that. I found the VIN change window in the VCM Scanner but it is not functioning. I am gonna try a security relearn with my Genysis Evolution and see what that does.

EFI live will not change the VIN because the vehicle is not supported. HP tuners is telling me that if l license year/model, I can change the VIN. That would cost another $200 in credits. I have already spent $300 in credits. I guess I will have to head to the dealer or find someone with a tech2 and try that.
