my buddy has a horrible old tuner from Granitelli, it barely does anything, and even changing gear ratio does not work to correct his speedo. I put his car back to stock with it, and looking for a low cost hand held to do skip shift and change to 4.10 - that's it
anyone sayfor sure which hand held will do this?
Intne seems like a decent device if he decides to get email tunes, and it clears / reads codes.
any help appreciated

Yes, it will allow you to disable skip shift, in fact its likely disabled as soon as you install the tune

In fact, the old tuner is a big green Diablo something - no part number on it. Just a Granatelli decal, as if they re sold it back in the day.
He bought the car with 4.10 gears, and the seller told us he used the tuner just to change the ratio. Speedo was always way off, skip shift still enabled, so I scrolled through the tuner options. Had gear ratio, rear tire size - but only in revs/mile, so I left that. I don't recall any real options for me to tune.
I reset the tuner to stock, the speedo stayed off by the same amount, car ran the same.
So I go to flash in a canned tune, it had 4.10 highlighted, and I could not change anything else.
This time speedo still off, car runs the same - but skip shift was off!
I'm hoping when I return it to stock again, the PCM let's me use a new tuner.
