P1683

0411 PCM OS from an 02 Bird with 4l80e segment.
In an LT1

car ran fine until this code popped up.
Now stumbles in 2nd or third gear somthing along those lines.
Whats the code all about?

Everything I read says replace the PCM for that code.
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the control module. This diagnostic also addresses if the control module is not programmed. The following DTCs are diagnosed in this DTC table:

DTC P0601
DTC P0602
DTC P0604
DTC P1683

A DTC P0602 indicates the PCM is not programmed

That code is not common. It means the PCM has an internal failure and has to be replaced.
First check your wiring for breaks and moisture. Electrical problems sometimes cause a PCM to set internal fault DTCs

Do any of you know exactly out of curiosity what part of the motor running does this actualy effect? Like how and what?

A PCM internal failure could affect anything, as it could be any part of the PCM that has failed. Only one solution. Change it.
