O2 Sensor Location Jeep LJ
Hey all,
I am installing an LR4 4.8 in my 05 Jeep LJ. The driver's side is very tight to get exhaust out. I have to have emissions here in Texas where I live. I am running a harness, ECU and Pedal (DBW) from Speartech wired with two up stream and two down stream O2 sensors. I do not have room to install a cat on the driver's side. Will the computer know any different if I lengthen the down stream wiring and install them in-line behind one cat and continue single out the passenger side?

It will work. You would lose the ability to monitor the fuel trim of each bank, that's about it. If something does go wrong both codes will trip. Good news, if only one code is thrown you still know which sensor needs attention.
