Idle too high at start up
I've tried these setting but my idle still jumps to just over 1000 rpm at start up. How would I reduce start up idle to match the tables?

Friction Airflow Initial in the idle airflow>startup area will cause a flare. I haven't updated to 3.7 yet, so I can't read the 2017 file. But I would wager there is a similar table there that dampens the airflow on startup.
You may also need to reduce your cranking timing a bit if you're getting the flare.

Here's my file downloaded with 3.6.
I've tried making some modification to cranking advance to no avail. Probably didn't enter the correct values??? Not sure where the other tables you are referring.

Did it help at all? Typically, when a car flares like that it's because of too much startup airflow or timing is too high. That's the one table in the 17 C7Z tables that seemed like it would be helpful.
But being that it's startup, it might take a couple of days to get it, especially if it's at cold start.

I really can't tell it helped. Although I'm going by sound and feel so it could have a little. Not what I would like yet.
Here's the table I downloaded. Not just the 1 second and down but all the way across.
