Default Best tuner in the country!
I think this has been discussed but well im saying it again, im rebuilding my bottom end (stock) btr stage 4 cam, ported 241 heads, full bolt ons ( headers, slp lid n bellow, ported stock tb, ls6 intake) built 4l60e. I think im missing more but did weight reduction to the interior and off the engine as well ( egr, ac delete) My tuner is retiring soon and im looking for a good tuner that can make the most out of my engine. btw the car will be on a nitrous.

St louis Missouri, i heard of cbi streetcars but they dont have a dyno and shane hinds ive heard some bad things, most i travel is to kentucky.

Give Mike Lough a call (one of the best engine builders) and have his guy tune it!!

Shane T. is probably known as one of the "best", but a lot of the guys mentioned have great reputations and can do the job....your setup doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary.

Anybody with a keyboard can tune that combo to run the numbers at the strip. What is difficult is tuning big cam cars to behave during normal driving. This can involve a lot of time consuming data logging while doing normal driving. This means you would be best served learning to tune on your own. If your tuner is really retiring, maybe he would like to pass on the knowledge to you?

I know a guy who had Shane tune his truck. Tune is great, however: he needed a couple of items changed on his tune. He called Shane several times and never got a call back. Another friend then called him to tune his LS swapped VW, and Shane answered, and tuned his car. Still never call back the guy with the truck. He ended up having me buy credits to get his truck corrected, was tired of never getting a answer or a call back.

I will say, I think he is one of the best tuners though, him, and Dave Steck. Of course, he moved away from St.Louis.
