lq9 stalling when stopping please help
Had the car tuned about a month ago. I am attaching the tune file. car seems to idle hunt and stop when coming to a stop. not really thrilled with the tune put down 345 hp and 385 tq at the wheels on a mustang dyno. tuner did a sd tune instead of maf. would really appreciate if someone could look at this tune and give me their thoughts. also do you think a maf tune would have been better here in Ct with the change in temps. I will also include the Dyno sheet.
Thanks again for any help and suggestions paid over $700 for this tune.
Also said my 28lb injectors where maxed out and installed 75lb injectors.

Thanks for the response. yes the maf is still on the car. I noticed in the settings the tuner has the egr enabled. I removed the egr. also the stalling when coming to a stop sign is embarrassing. Any suggestions on making changes to the tune would be greatly appreciated. Going to get it re-tuned in the spring probably take it to slowhawk.

Run far away from that "tuner" and whatever shop he is working at. Unless you have some severe mechanical problems (which he should have seen) you have the worst excuse for a tune I have ever seen. You should not have even maxed out 28# injectors at that power on 58psi LS1 fuel pressure, although if running 43psi they would be out of steam. Either way, I feel like you paid for a crap tune and a set of injectors somebody had on the shelf that nobody wanted to buy from them. With only a few days of reading on this site, you could do a better job of tuning for yourself.

I agree a **** tune. Your RAF(idle base running airflow) is way high. It is triple my airflow. Wot spark is on the high side. The injectors he put in he only changed the flow nothing else and he programmed it for a return style fuel rail not sure what you have. I would think your #'s would be higher more in the low 400 range but every dyno is different. There is no reason for a sd tune on your setup unless you want to get rid of the MAF. New tuner for sure.

Tuners like this one are why customers needing a good tuner are so leery and distrustful of anyone who calls themselves a tuner.
I would go back to the shop and demand that you get a refund for the 72 lb injectors. Selling you that much injector at your power level borders on fraud.
If you paid with a cc I would challenge the charge. I would also challenge his tune to fix it or refund part of the charge until it runs correctly.
The reply that they all run that way might have been acceptable back in '98 to '01 because they just didn't know any better, but not anymore.
Good professional tuners now days know how to get you good drive-ability and at a $150 dollars per hour or more you should demand it. Especially with your setup. It's practically cookie cutter.
We have to challenge these people or they will just keep doing it.

thanks for the responses. that is what i thought. too late to do anything at this point except chalk it up to experience. actually worse than what i posted. total bill was $1600 said exhaust was hitting on crossmember and had to heat and bend exhaust. fuel guage was not working and charged me to go a block for more fuel. then said shifter cable came off shifter and charged to reconnect. had 2 different labor rates. also charged a extra $150 to put back on dyno after changing injectors. Think i need a tampon for my butt.
