m6 to A4 seg swap idle issues
Hey guys. A friend of mine has a cammed 01 SS camaro that was M6 and tuned prior to me. He ended up decided to go auto and put a 4l60e in it, in which I did the segment swap for him. Now the car is having a weird idle issue where it will idle fine after crank up but then it will sit up around 1200 or so rpm. Ive attached the original m6 tune and then my Segment swap tune. I did play with the idle advance and some other spark tables, so those changes will show up if you do a compare. Any info is greatly appreciated! also included a log of idle in the driveway
heres a run down of the car

Since your idle spark is so low in the idle log, I would suspect you have the base running airflow too high and it is forcing the timing down. You have 16 degrees in the idle spark chart but are seeing 5 or 6 degrees idling. I did not look at afr.

great info. I was wondering why my advance was so low. should I pull like 5-10% out of the BRAF table? I assume it would need somewhere in the 10-12g/s area being cammed pretty high.

you have asked for the car to aggressively correct idle with spark at 0rpm error. one table is asking for 950rpm 16degrees while at the same time one table is trying to add 10 degrees and the other remove 10 degrees. its fighting itself and doesn't know what to do.
load factory idle spark corrections for overspeed and underspeed then halve the values as they are.
if it still idles at only 5 degrees timing remove some base running airflow or close up the blade a little
