Watching rpm and commanded gear. You'll see commanded gear change from say 2>3 (that's the computer telling the trans to shift), but rpms continue to climb for a split second. When the rpms finally start dropping, that's your shift delay for that shift. Figure out at what rpm the commanded gear number changed, then find the highest rpm it achieved, and subtract. You'll want to command gear change that much lower then you actually want to account for the delay.

Anyone try this? Bluecat Transmission Table Software https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...Table-Software
I just downloaded it. Won't be able to test it until spring, but I figured I would give it a try.

Yes - that's the one I'm using. Get message on both links in the thread in the transmission tuning forum on HPT.
I use ESET for security and don't want to turn if off just to get to the link. Been lucky so far and don't want to open links when I get security threat messages..

550whp, 3600 stall, bone stock 4l60e and my shifts happened usually within 50rpms of commanded. I used the excels available on EFI live which I assume are similar to bluecat stuff. In order for you to shift where you want you need to have the airflow right on the tune since alot of stuff is based off torque. Your stuff will shift wierd if your maf or VE is way off. This is besides the obvious stuff of getting the tire size and gear stuff right.
