Default Intake restriction 100kpa to 80kpa

I’m tuning a 2000 Trans Am. Bolt ons and a ms3 cam. I’ve noticed when working the VE table that up to around mid 3k-4K I’m hitting 100kpa but as rpms rise it works it’s way back into the 80kpa column (haven’t logged exact map) The car still has the stock LS1 intake. From the 20kpa drop up top how much would you say the stock Intake is killing it. That seems like a huge drop.

Sounds like when a silicone hose collapses

It’s the stock coupler just a solid piece of pvc in place of the maf.

How do you know it's not exhaust restricting it?

It is the stock catback. The next day the car started hitting the 100kpa column for whatever reason. It’s suppose to be coming back for a ls6 intake and 410s. I don’t know what happened.

The intake side can still go up to baro (roughly 100kPa) when there is an exhaust restriction.

When you see MAP dropping significantly below barometric pressure, it indicates that you have some sort of restriction upstream of the sensor. In this case, I'd look at the filter and zip tubes first to see if something is collapsing at full load. A 20kPa drop is pretty significant and should be fairly obvious (more than just a slightly undersized throttle body in my experience).
