I'm setting up an E67 out of a 2008 5.3 Trailblazer with the L96/T56 in my 1970 Chevelle. I haven't fired the engine yet but the scanner is showing a constant 158mph for vehicle speed. I've got the VSS from the T56 wired to C3 pins 66 and 67 like they would be in a manual transmission application. There are lots of threads from about 10 years ago where people were having this problem and it seemed like a solution was pretty close. After a decade in software improvements, is there a way to get an automatic OS to read a VSS signal without adding a TCM? Adding the function to control reverse lockout for the T56 would also be great.
If you haven't already, go into the tune and try changing the trans type from auto to manual. This might reconfigure the vss pins and activate the RLS settings but I doubt it. The best thing to do would be to flash it with a 07 cts-v file. This will take care of the vss issue and also give you ecm controlled reverse lockout.
You can make a small adapter that will make your discrete cruise control switch signals work with the ctsv OS. It requires a small breadboard and a few resistors. I made one several years ago. I can try and get you a schematic of it if you want.

A schematic would be awesome. I'm assuming this would be for a V1 OS, correct?

The Trailblazer OS is 12618164. I was under the impression that the gen IV operating systems couldn't be segment swapped.
This may be better asked in a new thread, but I'll give it a try: if you ignore the cruise control issue, what's the ideal operating system for an E67 in a swap? I imagine it would be a V1 or V2 CTS-V OS. Are there features that one generation has that another doesn't?
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Use a 07 CTS-V OS. That was the last year for the LS2 CTS-V. I have a stock file that I can email to you if you need it. Also, the trailblazer accelerator pedal (APP) probably wont work with the CTS-V OS. You might be able to just repin the APP connector and get it to work, but if that doesn't work then you would just need to use the CTS-V pedal. 08 Trailblazer 07 CTS-V Modified for CTS-V OS
