Default Is there anyway to bring your IAC

count down via tuning aside from either drilling or adjusting the set screw

I suppose you could lower your idle speed but that's probably not the answer you're looking for.

I'm really curious on this too. I've got the car idleing pretty well, but my IAC never get lower than 120...I was under the impression that they sould be closer to 50. I do not have a hole in the TB, I've just been using the "blade cracking" method. I can not open up the blade any further, because the TPS will not reset back to zero, even if I unplug it, it will read 3% once I plug it back in. Any suggestions?

I was able to get the IAC's down to about 75 in idle...but as soon as I put the car in drive it would hunt for idle and then die.

I tried this for a month almost and couldn't figure it out. I finally had to adjust the set screw on the TB. If you find a fix, let me know.

The IACs are a measure BUT not a true target as there are varying TB hole sizes.

Probably you needed to increase the RAF when it hunted in gear. Time consuming, yes -but there seems to be a "Best" relationship/proportion between IAC and RAF. At least on fly-by-wire (ETC) there is. I would assume the same for Fbods. FWIW.

Maybe gojo will chime in - he is the Jedi Knight of RAF and IAC.

Hi Folks
When I use my EFILive SW and run the cylinder balance test, one thing I have to do is adjust my IAC to set the RPMs, the RPM change as a function of the adjustment (Up or Down). I have to believe you can make the same changes using HP Tuners, etc but I don't a requirement to do so - that way I don't know.
