C5 A4 Dead Pedal in Reverse
...actually, I also do not remember which TAC Modules were used in those Cars.
Do you have a 6 or 8 Wire Connector for the Throttle-Body? ...I believe it should be a 6-Wire.
There are no records of any "Known Issues" pertaining to your Car (2002 C5 Vette, P01 with 6-Pin TB).
You are going to have to start to look at Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
I would be looking for DTCs pertaining to the Loss if a Class-II Data-Line Connection.
These are U-codes.
Hopefully there will be some PCM Codes as well, that do not set the MIL.

Your Car has about 16 or 18...
You should have tried to look at anything stored in History, but with the Battery having been disconnected, there should not be any.
Fortunately your Car uses the older Serial Data Bus (Class II).
It is a 7 Volt Circuit (but will read 3.9 Volts on a Digital Multi-Meter) with the Data Bus working.
(No I am not going to explain why the Voltage is 3.9 Volts on the meter... there is an NDA over it).
Anyway, U-xxxx Codes are what I expect will be set in various Modules.
Your Scan-Tool may not read U-xxxx Codes outside of the PCM, EBTCM, and BCM.
Hopefully it reads the TACM (Throttle Actuator Control Module).
Note: P-xxxx Codes do store in the PCM for the TAC Circuits... but that does not mean you have TACM access.

It is not capable of reading all DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) from all other Modules, but it can display a good number of them.
The Serial Data Bus (Class II Data) is essentially a local Network (similar to a Home LAN for PCs and IOT Devices) for all Modules in the Vehicle to communicate with one another.
The U-xxxx Codes are faults with in the Network.
The DTC U-1000, is a generic DTC that sets anytime that at least one Module has gone off line/ can not communicate with the rest of the Network.
The DTC U-1516, is a specific DTC that sets when the PCM or other Power-Train related Control Module has gone off line; like the TACM (Throttle Actuator Control Module).
U-xxxx Codes are very often set from the Battery being disconnected/ reconnected... or a low-Voltage Battery/ Dead Battery.
When the Battery Voltage starts to go low... it deprives the Control Modules of the Energy that is needed to function properly.
It is actually similar to what happens to the Human Brain, when deprived of oxygen... things go a bit crazy.
The U-1516 DTC may be relevant, since there are P-xxxx Codes currently...
However the Class II Serial Data Line needs to have diagnostic testing performed to rule out anything else first.
The 3 DTCs that were in the Power-Train Control Module, are all related to the TAC System.
P1120 and P1220 pertain to TPS-1 and TPS-2 Circuits (Throttle Position Sensor 1 and 2 Circuits).
P1516 is a Performance/ Accuracy Code pertaining to Throttle Position.
In my personal experience, the TAC Module is most likely at fault... but there are other possible issues/ problems.
Do not just purchase a TACM and swap out the Parts,
Have a proper diagnosis performed first.
Also, it is normal for the EBTCM (Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module) to turn off TCS and ABS...
When P1120, P1220, and P1516 DTCs are set.
My hopes are that the TAC Module is bad...
It would explain the U1016 DTC (the TACM most likely went off line) and the 3 P-xxxx DTCs.
I am confident that there is no Automatic Transmission related issue based on the information that you have provided thus far.
