Default Have a question about using a newer ecm and harness in a 2001 f body

Hey guy been gone a long time, I have a 2001 ws6 t56 i bought new I also have the APS twin turbo system. I never got it completely finishes, it's installed and will start but never had it tuned. Right after I I had it finishes I was involved in a motorcycle accident and I am now a paraplegic. I refused to sell the car but finally want to get it back on the road. My question is since I have to switch it over to an automatic i want to go with a 4l80 instead of dealing with going threw 4l60s. I know i need to get a Tim and a different harness anyway I was thinking of just putting a gen 4 5.3 or 6.0 with a 4l80 out of a truck. Was wondering if I went with the harness would my stock instruments and bcm still work? I have HP tuners already setup for my stock ecm, I knowni will have to pay for the new ecm. Just looking to do it all once and not try to piece it together. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Twin turbo WS6 sounds like a good way to make the best of it, though.
I don't know this for certain but I think you've got a P01 PCM in that car and I think it can run a 4L80E.
Hopefully someone here can confirm that.

The pcm you got can run a 4l80 no problem, it just needs to have segment swap done.

Thanks I just need a complete harness from an auto right? I wouldn't think I could use my m6 harness. Can I also wire in a flex fuel sensor? If so I'll look on here how to so it's not repeated.

You'll need additional wiring for the auto trans for sure. I'm guessing it would be easiest to leave your current harness in place, and add the stuff you need from a harness from a 4L80E vehicle.
