Battling heat issue w 4l80e. Tune?
Background: Car is a 1972 Chevelle with an LSA/Jakes Stage 3 4l80e and Circle-D 265mm multi disk 2800 stall. Car is cammed/pulley'ed and should make ~600 RWHP. It has been a project since 2015 and was finally 'finished' this past fall before the snow started to fall in Iowa. Last year and now again this year, my trans temps are making me uncomforatable. Last year, we found the tune wasn't locking up the converter and temps were going to 210 before I shut it down. I have since got a diff tune that locks the converter and added a B&M 70274 cooler. Temps are def way better but no where near what I'm reading as others see. I went on a 30+ min cruise yesterday w a mix of in-town and out of town driving. The temp got up to 171 before I started to get uncomfortable again. I wanted to do some more intown driving but didn't wanna see the temps climb and further. So far, I've only been doing a mail order tune, but I have a dyno-session set up for July 8. It's a long drive to the dyno so I wanna atleast get the trans portion figured out if possible. Car is a street/car cruise/show car only. Never gonna be on the track. Is anyone willing to look at my tune and log file from yesterday to see if there is any glaring issues? Any suggestions on how to keep it running cooler? I'll attach the files in case. Thanks!

I'm with Ron, and I base it off of some of the most knowledgeable transmission guys on this site. In the summer, 200-210 is pretty good. If your getting over that, you need to look at a better cooler, placement, or fan on it. Mine never gets over 200*, built 80, with a cooler under the bed of my truck with a derale fan on it. Fan kicks on at 180.
