Default Where to check for power

I have a 2008 Jeep JK with a Motec conversion harness. LS3/6L80,
With the key in the ON position, all the dash lights are on, everything works as it should.
Key in cranking position, starter works, NO engine start.
It is getting fuel, crank sensor is good, cam sensor is good---no firing---I guess
Where can I check for power to the E38 PCM---or where can I splice in a 12volt wire to see if that is the problem.
It acts just like the power drops out when I switch to cranking.

Your going to have to find where the 12v IGN wire is connected for the motec harness. Its most likely connected to the wrong ignition wire thats not hot during cranking. Once you find that wire you can connect to 12v to test if you wanted.

This thing is kicking my butt. I had one of his old harness setups,but had a lot of problems. He sent me the new Can bus setup and harness and now I have this one problem (big) that I can't seem to get solved. I will see if I can figure out how the 12 volts is applied.

Is the Pink wire to the coils the hot wire? I really need a wiring diagram. Where can I get one of those? Thanks

With a test light you could probe any of the coils and verify they are getting power while cranking..

I found out that GM used a short extension on the cam sensor harness that reversed two of the wires. The new harness did not have that as well as the old harness. I guess the old one was just spliced in somewhere. I reversed A and C on the new harness and it fired up. What a bunch of crap!!! I just happened to be reading on some wiring blog and that problem came up for somebody else.

That is a common issue when swapped from 24x to 58x. I know racetronics had some out there like that as well. Glad to hear you got it running.
