Default DBW vs DBC

Can anyone tell me if the 4896 computer was a DBW or DBC? Thank you!

Yes, I have found that out a short time ago. A friend has done a swap. Thinks he has a '03 ecm from a Yukon. Tells me he's using the same cable driven tb, ecm, etc. He got a harness from PSI. When I checked the pins at the ecm for the tps, they don't jive. (Engine starts and goes to about 2500rpm). Checked for vacuum leaks, and other stuff. When hooking a obd computer to it, I have 0 percent. Hook my 0411 , now it registers, but, doesn't fix the problem. It ran, in this application, for a couple months. So I have a real rats nest to figure out. Thanks!

Here are some other treads which might be helpful:

Are you saying it ran as a DBW for a few months? If yes, they why are you suddenly doubting it?
Why not just switch to a 411? Don't want to pay for credits?

It ran with a DBC for a couple months. When the high rev at start up started, I started checking tps for working or not. Changed it out with working one and no change. Was checking for continuity, and pins don`t jive for o411 pinout on TPS. PSI (harness manufacture) says "maybe it was wired for DBW. That shouldn`t be the case because it has the DBC plug.

Thanks for the input! I will check it out, and keep sorting....
