Default TPS Codes

Hello Everyone!
Just finishing up my swap (2002 5.3 with 4L60E and new stand alone harness).

Here are the parts and questions:
1. Intake is Stock truck 5.3 intake
2. FiTech 92mm Throttle Body Drive by Cable (changed out TPS for AC Delco and codes still going on, now back on FiTech TPS)
3. Locar 78mm Drive by Cable Attachment (between throttle body and intake)
4. Stock 5.3 Truck intake
5. Engine is completely stock with the exception on no Cats and a stand alone off brand harness.

I am having issues with TPS code that keeps going off and I can feel the change in how the Jeep is shifting. When I reset the code it works ok for a few blocks but sets the code again. Feels like the jeep trans is confused on shifting from 2nd to 3rd and the to kick down. Checked the position of the throttle plate and when pedal is not pressed its at 0% and at WOT its at 97%

Questions:
Is there anything I've got wrong? Does the Larger 92 throttle through smaller Locar Throttle then to a 75mm truck intake causing air flow issues?

is the FiTech 92 to big for a stock intake?

really cant figure this out.

Thanks All!!

What codes are you getting?

The stock 78 mm throttle body is more than enough for a 5.3 though this is probably not worth the trouble, I'd look for a stock tb for simplicity's sake

Maybe try the diagnostics forum... That is unless the t/b is in the oil pan.

What is your TPS voltage at idle? What is it at WOT?

I believe that DTC is for the TPS voltage being low.

It could be a number of different things, bad TPS, T/B blade set incorrectly, China T/B quality control, off brand engine swap harness.

Find out what the TPS voltage is at idle and report back.

Do you have a way to datalog it?

A good scan tool will show the TPS voltage, or you can use a volt meter. The TPS on a cable-TB generally has some adjustability. IIRC the minimum voltage at idle is .45V and the max is .7V. That code suggests it is below .45V. Adjust the TPS to be in that range and see if that fixes it.

Hoping to get down to the shop tomorrow, we have had some bad rain here. Will check the values but last time it was 0% with foot off the gas and 97% WOT I think.
How important is the reset process do we think when a new TPS is installed?

We are not asking for the percentages. We are asking for the electrical voltage coming from the TPS.

This.

The voltage is the important thing because that is what the PCM is looking at.
