Default Stock gauges and Holley EFI

Been testing a module that takes the data from a Holley EFI ecu and converts it to GM data to run the stock dash Tach, Temp, Fuel gauges :

Its a board with a custom programmed microcontroller that reads the holley data stream and converts it to GM Class 2 data that the instrument clusters reads.
If there is sufficient interest I may proceed with a production unit.

What's the guestimate on price?

I'm trying to decide between switching to a Terminator X system or just getting a stock PCM tuned, for a daily driver turbo z28. Biggest drawback so far on the Terminator X system is having to also purchase a display.

So would factory ECM stay in place or still pull it out and only run Holley, going in to factory cluster?

No, you dont need the factory PCM with this. This small module basically generates all the Class 2 data that the instrument cluster used to get from the original PCM.
So, The instrument cluster Tach, Temp and Fuel gauge run off this serial data. The Oil pressure gauge is "old style" and uses the one wire sender on the back of the engine. This remains the same with this data converter. The voltage gauge runs off the cluster power feed so it remains unaffected.
The speedo runs off a square wave frequency type signal that is on a dedicated wire from the original PCM. Depending on whether you have a manual or auto setup will determine how to get that signal back to the speedo. If you are running the trans thru a Holley Max for example, then that vss signal could be available on the holley data stream, and thus this module could be evolved to include speedo functionality as well.

Ok. My car was a 6spd car, I now have a 4l80 with manual valve body. So this seems simple enough.
would use all holley harness but it connects to this module it seems.
this seems to be my best option. My car is a lower mileage car so I hate to pull my factory cluster or disable it.
I can use the 3.5" screen that you get for adjustment or I can use my laptop for changes.

Which Holley ECU are you using ? Does the manual 4L80E have a vss input to the holley ecu?

I have not switched to a Holley yet but looking at terminator x or x max.
4l80 has a vss on it to get signal to stock ecm,I hope the x or x max does as well.

I also have to "pass" emissions , really just plug in and see no codes set.
probably still need to be able to piggyback?

I would be interested in this! Jolt Systems makes a plug and play harness to use the Terminator X and have the stock gauges work but it would require the stock PCM also. This sounds like a better option. How much would this be?

I seen the jolt harness. Would that be needed still if emission testing is required for obd2 port?

I assume you would have to do something LIKE the jolt harness (retaining factory PCM) because you would need the OBD2 to pass inspection. Someone correct me if im wrong.
