Default Just want to swap files

Hey guys.

Is there any cheap way to be able to simply swap files (not modify, just have 2 files that you can swap). I had my car tuned and my tuner has a nitrous and motor file...but i have to drive 3 hours if i want to swap them. I dont want to modify or change anything... simply be able to swap progams at the track/street depending if i want to do a motor pass or a nitrous pass. Tuner said something about a program called tunercat or somether ? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

If all you want is to mess timing and mixture around
when you hit the bottle I think the hot ticket is this:
get a 12V DPDT relay and a resistor that corresponds
to the IAT sensor value at dead cold. You would have
to look this up or maybe someone knows it offhand.
Cut your IAT harness somewhere that is handy.
Wire your IAT sensor to the NC terminals. Wire your
IAT harness stub to the common terminals. Wire the
resistor across the NO terminals. Run the relay coil to
the solenoid coil, parallel.

Now when you turn on the nitrous, you switch your
IAT from real to a bogus -50F (or whatever) "special"
value. So what?

So, your tuner can mess the spark advance adder
vs IAT around, to pull out 7.3 degrees of spark.
They can also mess the PE Add vs IAT around, put
another half a point of enrichment on your power
enriched mixture or whatever. Shazam!

Downside might be, in the dead of winter and under
20F you would see this same spark pull and power
enrichment bump-up. Can you live with it?

But this all means a buck and a half worth of parts,
and no file swapping needed - just one file with a
"magic button" edited in.

That is very interesting... sounds about right for the basic 150-200 wet i would spray...

Are there any write ups on this anywhere ? I dont 100% follow the instructions on how you did this but would love a bit more info so i could try it.

Check out the Nitrous forum. I use a Timing Tuner. It retards the timing only while spraying, has a N2O activation switch (window switch), activation delay, and it's easy to wire and set up. All of the input here seems to be posative. I have HPTuners and Edit, and I don't mess w/ changing programs.
