Which A4 shift table do I use?
The LS1 Edit manual says "The PCM supports two modes of operation – normal mode, and performance mode" but refers to a switch. I don't have a switch like that. Should I be using the "Normal" or "Performance" tab to set my MPH and TPS%?
Where do the MPH and RPM settings on the "A4 Shift Speed" tab come from? Are they automatically put there when you update the MPH/TPS% I mentioned above?
The attachment shows the picture from the LS1 Edit manual.
Sorry for the questions. The manual seems to create more questions than it answers.
have a performance mode switch function (though
the PCM "supports" it).
If you cut and paste from Excel, this might be of
some interest to you:

bearing in mind that gear and tire differences have
to be accounted for in the settings, and that the
PCM_ 'sheet was set up with HPTuners nomenclature.
Thanks!
Any 03/04 Vette Coupe owners have this same type of info??
When I got it dyno tuned, I remember seeing him playing with the normal and performance mode tranny functions, and I believe he input the same numbers into both sections. I ended up having my shift points bumped by 3mph. It now shifts at 6000 on the tach instead of 5700 (not sure how accurate the stock tach is though)
I haven't tried any WOT runs with the trans in 3rd right now to see if it shifts at a higher rpm, but I think it will be the same anyways (if he did indeed put the same numbers into both sections)
Patman, think you can cut and paste your charts from your PCM somewhere or add an attachment here so I can look at them?
Thanks!!
- mid-90s as far as I've been able to make out. Not
LS-1s.
The trucks call it tow/haul but if you get into it with
HPTuners you are still editing the "Performance" tables.
Just a different kind of performance I guess, and it's
all just labels anyway.
The PCM does know the gear selection and it's possible
that the OS (not the cal data we all play with) could
be clever and assert some kind of performance thing.
The 'Vettes have a lot of funny stuff about the active
handling and electronic throttle, remember reading
about something like there's one mode that will turn
off tranny abuse and torque management and all that
kind of thing, for racing.
But I just have a plain ol' little Camaro that's pretty
simple.

Anybody else with a late model (03 or 04) Vette care to post or email me their shift point data?
For example, if I were to change the Normal 3-4 shift mph from 125 to 133, would it automatically change the chart values on the chart you'd see by clicking the "Normal Mode Shift Speed" button?
Thanks!!
