What causes early lock up...

scale the lockup table by (new ratio / old ratio) if you didn't
change anything else. If you get into tuning the part throttle
shift points then the lockup also has to be slid around to make
it playnice and stay out of the way of the shifts. This gets
to be difficult. So I just got rid of 3rd gear lockup entirely and
at least got 4th the way I like.
