normally if the program says invalid code, then the pcm needs repaired, or it is locked, The security of the pcm is no longer correct. if it says invalid checksum, then somehow durring the write to the pcm the data became corrupt or did not write correctly and so the checksums are not the correct value, I can fix it for you for sure.

It was not hp's fault for my pcm. I just tried to use it to recover it.

I've flashed 98 pcm's over 100 times, no issues.

I thought the battery was charged and saw no reason why it did not have a full charge....So I was pretty dumbfounded when the car would not start

Someone help me out here. Doesn't HP read in like 2 minutes?? Sevanseriesta, you're saying in the 2 minutes to read your battery died?? When was the last time the car was started or how long were accessories left on?? I just can't see why a battery would die in a 2 minute read. Was it the original battery that came with the car?

The car was started the previous day and the voltage read 11.9. The car ran for about 15 mins. There were no accessories on cause I really dont have very many. The door was closed, so no lights were on ac/heater were all off there is no radio. I am not sure what happened. I have not touched the car since. It has been rainy and cold I will work on it tomorrow and get the battery charged and make sure that it starts.

Do you think that something is wrong with my PCM now? I mean all I did was read it so it is not like I changed anything.

By the way thanks for that write up there was a lot of good info in that.
