I recently had to reformat the laptop and am now trying to get atap and edit back on the car. I found my version I was using which was 1.2 and had been working with no issues on my laptop before.

The only thing I can think of that is different is SPK2 on XP. Now Edit installs and tells me everything is good but when I run it I just get a Microsoft Error Report prompt and nothing opens up after that.

Anyone have an idea or have a link to the newer versions? My cable is still fine but I can't get the software to run

Correct... I believe it was something w/AMD Processors and windows XP

 

I run it on my XP SP2 laptop, albeit with a Pentium CPU.

 

I run it with XP SP2 no problems, but when I installed it, I did have to reinstall again, as I had the same error messages as you. Try reinstalling the Edit software.

 

they said it was SPK2 that was giving the the problems. I guess it is another $50... and it better darn well fix the problem with no issues.

 

another option... HP Tuners has a trade in program going on for LS1 Edit customers ... I think it's 100 bux off, then you can sell your atap also for 200 or so... makes the final cost of HP Tuners 200 bux give or take or 350 w/the EIO upgrade
