A4 to M6 swap PCM question

A4 to M6 swap PCM question All, after my swap I can just install a M6 tune from HPtuners instead of getting it reflashed at the dealer, correct?? I already have a m6 tune, so I am thinking I just need to copy my VE table (for my cam) to it and I should be fine, correct?
yes just make sure that it is from the same operating system, or you will have to do a full rewrite of the os and then transfer your tables that you had modified for your vehicle over to the new file.

Not sure I understand what you mean by OS...Are you talking about the same year of car tune?? Or actual OS of the computer?
My car is a 2002 A4 and the M6 tune is from a 2002 also. I was thinking I would just copy my VE tables to it since it is tuned for my cam.

I thought they were different...but apparently not..as I just realized I was looking at a 2000 vs a 2001...thoughgt my buddy had a 2000 A4...guess not..LOL

these are tables from a 2000...
maybe a few different years were different???
I double checked mine agains a few on the bin repository...and I found a few 99s that said stock....and looked like my M6... but all teh 2000's I looked at looked just like mine...

I just looked at a few others...
all the stock M6's look like the top one...with slight slight variation between years because of intake differences...
A4's all look like the bottom one...also with slight differences due to intake...

The M6 you posted is a 98-00 VE table and the A4 you posted is a 01-02 VE table. Compare A4 and M6 tables from the same years and you will see that 98-00 A4, M6 VE tables are the same and on 01-02 VE tables, the A4 and M6 tables only differ slightly on the 15 and 20 kPa lines and only at 2K rpms and below.

just re looked at the file I posted..and you were right...its from a 2001 on teh A4...and the M6 was my 2000 stock...
so I'll take down the pics so that others dont get confused...LOL
