AFR in SD
I'm a bit confused on what happens when you send ECT vs. MAP values to 1.13.... When should you see 13.0 afr readings? At WOT?
I am seeing -10 values across the board but, my AFR is showing values of 14.7 or in that range. I filled up the gas tank a few days ago. Could this be the culprit?
Here's an old file but, an example of what I usually see while in SD for AFR. I am using a wideband obviously.
0 0 0 14.4 0 13 13.3 13
0 0 13.7 15.7 17.1 16.3 12.7 12.1
0 13.7 14.5 14.9 15.2 13.5 0 13.2
0 14 14.2 14.4 14.5 13.6 13.4 12
13.9 14.2 14.3 14.5 14 14.4 14.3 0
13.8 14 14.5 14.4 14.3 13.9 14.2 14.2
14.1 14 14.5 14.4 14.2 13.9 0 14.4
14.2 13.9 14.4 14.4 14.3 13.8 14.4 14.4
14.2 14.1 14.4 14.4 14.3 14.7 14.4 13.3
13.6 13.6 14.2 14.4 14.3 14.4 14.5 0
0 13.6 14.5 14.4 14.4 0 14.6 14.4

0 14 14.3 14.5 14.4 14.5 0 0
0 14 14.1 14.6 14.5 14.6 14.6 14.6
0 0 0 14.5 14.5 14.6 0 14.5

0 0 14.9 14.5 14.3 14.2 14.3 13.6
Thanks.
Unless you changed the qualifications for entering closed loop, you'll be in closed loop soon after starting the car (in which case it uses the O2 sensors to try to maintain the value that's in the Stoich AFR field)
Then there's another value (Don't have HPT in front of me right now) that lets you set the Closed Loop enable temp... if you set the enable temp outside the bounds of normal ECT then it'll keep you in Open Loop all the time

Is this what you were referring to Horist? Should I set it to 13.0 and get tuning?
Thanks.
Oh yeah, and reset your ltft's when doing this.
Open Loop F/A vs Coolant Temp vs MAP
Your ECT Vs IAT looks right, so you're in open loop... now you need to change this table so that it commands 13.0:1
Then you should be able to change your VE to match your commanded AFR

P/E table to 1.13 too - no. Should be set to 1.00 to disable P/E. When in open loop with 1.13, you can verify with your wideband how far off you are from a 13.0 AFR. Changes made to your VE table to get you as close to that 13.0 as possible will then effectively bring your closed loop values back in line with the commanded 14.7 that is in the other field mentioned above. After you line up the VE table, restore the stock OLFA table and the stock P/E table while still in SD mode. Then tune your P/E table for WOT. Calibrate your maf, re-enable closed loop, and reset trims to finish it all up. Granted, I've yet to do all of this, but it's my plan of attack when my s*** gets here.

If your seeing -10 across the board I would multiply the whole ve table by .9 reset trims and go from there. I would leave the commanded afr when in closed loop at 14.7 it gives the best economy. If you want pe enabled earlier than change the tps settings, map and rpms for when it kicks in. There is no need to be commanding 13:1 at low throttle levels, I for one like good fuel economy.
