Default A few ?'s with HPTuners 02 SS

Heys guys a couple of things. I am pretty well versed with LT1Edit and TunerCat. I am helping my buddy tune his 02 SS with HP. What is the best procedure for firming shifts with the auto? Can you eliminate all Traction Control functions, so you don't have to switch the button on the dash? He is running 28.2 " tall tires out back with 26" up front, can we make the ABS happy with this config.? And I see there are two areas for Torque Management, what tables are changed to get rid of TM? Any other changes needed for headers, lid, and 90mm TB? We are waiting to get the bung welded in to fire up the Wideband. Thanks for any help, Chris.

i dont know much about autos but the wheel speed sensors will detect the front wheels spinning faster than the rears and set the tcs off light and abs light, the only way around it i know of it get the right size tires on the front to match the back or vice versa

Can you build something to trick the ecm into thinking front and back are the same? I would think this problem has been addressed with guys running skinnies and slicks. Any ideas???? What about deactivating the traction control?

You cant. The on/off of traction control is not controlled by the PCM. Some of the settings are, such as how much tq reduction/timing is pulled when T/C is activated are in the Edit>Engine>Torque Mgmt section. There is the T/C reverser sold by SLP that makes it default to off when you start the car, or I've heard pulling the T/C fuse will disable it, but I've not tried that.

You can't, entirely. It involves the PCM (OK) but also
the ABS system and an add-on TCS "brain" under the
dash, and these two mooks ain't talkin'.

An educated index finger, though, fixes it. Not that
mine remembers....

If you want the traction control to be disabled, just pull the ASR/TCS fuse thats located under the hood. Once this is done, as soon as the car starts to move, the traction control will disable itself. No more needing to press the button. The light on the button will go off by itself and the dash light will come on letting you no AST/TCS is off.

Thanks guys for the traction control info! Anyone know how to trick the abs into seeing similar values with the big and little tires????
