Default Max allower enrichment

This question has been asked several times in the past but I never saw a clear answer.

Maybe this time...

What does it mean?

I know it doesn't affect PE; maybe it's a test; maybe it's the limit of the LTFT correction

Who can explain it to me?

Thanks - Stefano

I like you sig:
"I'm in the Charlotte area and have HP Tuners, PM me for any kind of tuning help or mod install help"

You are supposed to answer and not to ask

OK bad joke

Edit
Engine cal
Fuel
Max allowed enrichment

Stock is set at 1.13
Vortech set it at 1.39

i would assume that would be the max enrichement the motor can command when in pe, so if pe is set to 1.18 it will run leaner at 1.13 becuase it cant go over that limit

In EFI Live, I believe it's called Maximum Enrichment. The description attached is, "Maximum enrichment when in hot fueling mode." I assume that means if the engine coolant temp becomes greater than a set value (~250*F I think), it will command more than a 14.63AFR to help cool the cylinders. But, I could be wrong.

From the looks of it, it is the PE enrichment multiplier. So 1.13 is 13.0:1 AFR when you go WOT or enable PE Mode.

I already messed with it and it doesn't affect PE at all.
I checked with a WB and I can set the AFR as I want: it only depends on PE vs RPM.
you can put it at 1 or at 2 it doesn't matter.
But for something it is there... why?

This would make sense.
You think that the PCM commands an AFR of 13:1?

14.7 / 1.13 = 13.0

Do you see any reason why Vortech sets an higher value? This would make an AFR of 10.6. Unless you are under boost it doesn't really makes sense to go so high.

Unless it's if for some reason PE doesn't work properly... then it would be OK
