Here is I think the bone stock scan file. There may be emission codes deleted but no other editting. And Keep in mind, even in this scan, it is running lean, but now its a little rich and still pinging...
I also should note that I hit the gas to make it ping on purpose...you can tell where.

I have the same problem with my truck which has a fresh rebuild and new injectors and comp push rods. Also has manley race flow valves and crane valve springs. I also have schebeck (sp) lifters so I really don't think that it is something mechanical. My motor pings like hell with the stock high octane tables. I have been working on my ve tables but still have like -12 to -15 ltft's so any help would be great. Also same thing with my maf connected or disconnected. My knock usually stays below 4.o My cam is a 236/236 602/602 112+2 so any help would be great. something that I think may have to do with it is my short air box. My iat reads aroun 125-145 so I am going to try to lower this and go from there

Hmm .. went to the tuner.. I think he reset the PCM and pulled out some timing. There's still a little bit of pinging, but it's much better than it was. Before I could hear it very audibly, now it's just a occasional quick ping..

I forgot to add something... when I installed a MAF translater a few years back, the thing completly stopped pinging.. any ideas?
I havent gotten a chance to flash the car yet
Forgot to add something else... has anyone had their fuel pressure checked or have a way to do so? I dont have a way to check. If you have or do, please post up!!!

I changed the plugs on the drivers side finnaly. Now the car doesn't ping. However, it is a good amount cooler at night here. guess well see come tommorow during the 101 degrees! And also on the scanner once I get it back.
The plugs were not oily like NO:5 plug is on the passenger side. But the plugs had a whitish power on them. Any idea what that means? I can get pics tomorrow, but Im too tired now.
There were replaced by AC Delco #12 plugs. gapped at 0.50-.55

instead of sea foam try atf and water. get a cup put some atf in it and suck some through a vacuum line. a a little at a time!! untill you got about a half a quart gone then do some water. remember slowly. this should break up any carbon build up on valves and pistons. also massive amounts of white smoke will emit. dsm'rs have been doing this for years.

Well, it still pings, but it doesn't seem nearly as bad... I have yet to scan it though to find out.
As for the clogged injectors, I seriously doubt it because in the newest scan, it did in fact show running kinda rich on both LTFT1 and LTFT2.

I had no problem opeing the scan file... whats the error message? Or is it just kinda freezing? if its freezing, if you let it sit for about 45 seconds, it'll open, at least for me it will.
My trims were originally, stock tune, +7 to +15. depending on the situation.
And it still pings the exact same way now stil , confirmed it today.

I don't have anything to open the file with. I tried EFI Live, but no luck.
I was thinking maybe there was a sensor that was putting out a bad signal. Nothing that made the PCM think there was a problem but a signal that would fool the PCM into thinking it needed to pull fuel or jack timing. Since you say it doesn't ping in open loop, I'd be curious to see if the car pings at operating temperature, but in open loop. If it does, then we're probably talking about carbon buildup (higher compression) causing the pinging. But if it doesn't ping at all in open loop regardless of temp, then there would almost definitely be a faulty sensor causing it.
