hey guys need some advice,
i just got the kit. where did you guys put the module? i was thinking about putting it in the armrest compartment. where is the best place to tap into the tach wire? where did you tap into the fuse box for the power?
any other advice is greatly appreciated.

im just installing mine now i tapped in to the 25a wiper fuse for my power and i think i am going to install the box right under the radio on the tunnel so i can just pull it out to hook it up to the laptop.

sounds like a good source of power. the wipers are on when the ken is turned on. what about the tach wire? are the wires labeled out of the pcm. i did a search here and it looks like someone said to tap into wire #10 for the tach wire.

Check out Install University, they have a section on installing a shift light showing which wire to tap into for the tach. Install University

check this......i mounted the "box" under the steering column....there is a triangle like bracket under there that holds the column up and it fits right between the bracket and the steering column. I keep the usb cable connected and run it under the console. At the traCK, i pull the usb cable out and log it to my laptop. when done, slide the cable back under the console and just leave half the connecter sticking out...nobody has ever noticed it. The warning light is awesome...i have mine setup to come on if i am over 5000rpms and a/f is leaner than 12:1

I still need to connect the Tach and TPS tap. Where is the best place to go through the firewall to get to the PCM? I have mine mounted under the steering colum too. I found a rubber drain plug to use to wire up the WBO2. I cut a small hole in it to run the harness through. Mine is powered using the radio's swithced +12V. The WBC draws very little current.

there is a rubber gromet behind the pcm on the pasenger side that is where i am going to go for the tach I believe on 98 cars the wire is pin 35 the others are # 10. I like the idea of mounting it to the column brace that seems like a good idea. Did anyone hook up their tps to it?
