LS1 EDIT and Forced Induction?
Would the same power tuning techniques apply to a car running forced induction? I understand that the generic LS1 edit stuff like removing codes, torque management, EGR, gears, tire size, etc... would still be the same. Just curious if FI would greatly change the "rules" for tuning with LS1 EDIT.
I guess the real question I am asking here is: Will the same information on power tuning I learn in this forum (and other places) with LS1 EDIT apply to a forced induction application?
Thanks

Re: LS1 EDIT and Forced Induction?
I have an ls1edit file that was tuned for a supercharger. It still need more tuning, but you can get a general idea. If you want I can email it to you.
overall there were not alot of changes. Injectors were changed and so was the PE and injector flow rate. Timing was pulled down a lil bit. Nothing in the VE table.

Re: LS1 EDIT and Forced Induction?
it has not been tuned with ls1edit yet. It is currently getting a lil tune up will then be tuned with edit. I forget who tuned the pcm, but it was not steve cole and am not sure if it was ed wright.
it still pings a lil at 10 psi. Timing is currently at 26 max, so we shall see. Sent ya mail

Re: LS1 EDIT and Forced Induction?
I would be interested in taking a look at that file also - chris@slowcar.net -
if you (or anyone else) has some stock files, other tuned files, etc. I would appreciate them also - and if you don't mind I will set up a webpage and host them for anyone else who would like them (let me know if this is okay - otherwise I will keep them private)

Re: LS1 EDIT and Forced Induction?
Yes Sir. Email that baby to me please - richard@z71.net
You say that is still needs more tuning. Does it run better right now with the LS1 edit tuning than it did before any tuning was done?
Thanks
Richard
