LS1 Edit Tires and Gear change?
LS1 Edit Tires and Gear change? I got the Ls1 Edit today and with the help of my son, I got it all loaded and took a look at the Superchips program and saved the file per instructions. I can find every thing to edit except the tire and gear changes. It just says read only or something like that. It displays the stock settings and doesn't look like what the user guide does. Would someone help me on this. Be nice B/C I don't understand a lot of the computer fuctions yet. Thanks.

Re: LS1 Edit Tires and Gear change? Does it have to be hooked up to the car when you edit or can you do it just from the file in your office or somewhere other than at the car? I was away from the car when I was looking at it. Thanks.

Re: LS1 Edit Tires and Gear change? no you can edit remotely. in the gear section there were 2 blocks on the right side. one for tire diameter and one for gear ratio. then there were the 2 dimmed blocks that had oem sizes in there (which is important to make sure they are correct so you it'll scale the values accordingly)
just type in the numbers in the blocks next to the OEM ones and hit apply changes. worked for me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Gear Scaling for the Corvette is completely different than for the F-Body. What you see is the C5 screen. I had gear scaling in the 1st release, but had problems with the vette. I made that screen read only until I worked out the unique parts for the C5. I sent out four copies of an updated version with the C5 fix last night, and expect to release it to everyone very soon.
