Default Will removing cats cause a lose of low end Torque?

If I remove my cats will this cause me to loose low end torque? If so what can I do to fix this?
I have a truck with a 5.3 in it. I thought I would ask you car experts?
Thanks Lee!

I dynoed when I first got my car with a lid and exhaust. I dynoed about 10 months later with the same mods, only gutted cats and MAF. I actually gained TQ or stayed the same as the first dyno. This is the only info I can give you. I was expecting to loose some TQ but didn't.

Even if you did lose a little on the low end, it would make up for it on the top end...

Dyno runs typically reveal CATs rob you of 10-15RWTQ!

Yea, I gained 10rwhp and 23rwtq by taking off my cats that came with my FLP headers...

I find that hard to believe you lost 23 ft/lbs of torque with the FLP cats. They are Carsound cats and are one of the highest flowing cats on the market. They flow twice as much as stock cats. I have the same cats on my car and i know i'm not loosing that much torque and i have S2 heads/Thunder cam combo. Just my .02
