I have hypertech in my car right now, as I understand it, I can read the PCM with hypertech, and remeove the hypertech later and not have a problem reading the PCM again because the VIN will still be the same. Is that correct? Or should I remove the HPP3 first? (I am only using it for fans/gears/revlimiter stuff, no power tuning)
Also how long does it take to read and reprogram the PCM? I have heard just a few minutes for both, VS the Hypertech's marathon reprogrammign sessions...
thanks

Make sure everything is turned off, A/C, radio, etc. Keep a door open.
Reads are much longer than writes, you really only need to read once so not so big a deal in practice.
