P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1
I need help with the following codes.....
P0171 FUEL TRIM SYSTEM LEAN BANK 1
P0174 FUEL TRIM SYSTEM LEAN BANK 2
The maf is stock. I did have ends at one time, but that was many moons ago. It's a 2000. This problem just started, the car stumbles at idle, and hesitates during acceleration at about 2000 rpm. I haven't changed any engine parts on the car in over 40,000 miles.
Thanks,
Jason

Orgiginally I had a low 02volts, but that code has not come back. If I unplug them would it send it into a mode not relying on them and therefore I could see if the problem changed, and eliminate the possibility of a fuel delivery problem?

you have an air leak on the intake side of the motor. mine did the same thing for about a month, LTERM was maxed @ 25% and i have lean bank 1 & 2 codes. found/fixed leak, LTERM down to 20% and no more codes.

Where was your leak, are these engines prone to leak anywhere? I disconnected the MAF and it's running a whole lot better so that eliminates any fuel problems. Thanks for the help guys!!
