Dealers charge about 50 to 70 bucks for a scan and auto zone scans for free. You cant get the car there so you may have to offer the local scan man 20 bucks to stop on way by and scan. Sounds like might be a fuel pump. First though check all the fuses.

Well that's only going to work if it has a SES light...It kinda does sound like the passlock 2 system but there are other things that can make it do that...When I used to install remote starts it would do that if it wasn't getting the code from the key but that was when the key wasn't in the ignition...You may try another key if you have it...I don't know the likelyhood of the sender in the key being bad but it's worth a try

I had it towed home...can't make it to autozone...too far
I thought it was the pass lock 2 system too. I unhooked the battery for the time being and will hoot it back up later tonight and see if it does anything...if that doesn't work I will run a fuel pressure test on it tomorrow night. Hope fully resetting the PCM helps...if not I have a feeling it may be the fuel pump.

Also, I don't see any fuses for the alarm/security system....

When you start it up try to have someone listen to the fuel tank...You'll hear a whine..Hell you can hear that just by turning it on....If it doesn't whine then it's probably the fuel pump...Those are FUN to change...Good luck brother

Hold up...Are you sure that the fuel sender didn't go out and you're just out of gas or something?? That sounds awful familar...Or maybe your fuel filter is clogged....Those would be two good places to look...You know that it's getting spark and a little fuel though...Damn, this is a tough one

It could be anything with the fuel system right now....I will use a pressure tester tonight when I get home from work and see what I come up with...I am now thinking fuel pump or regulator..

No I am out of the corps now..back in Chicago where its cold as hell am I'm trying to fix a car.

really sounds like VATS to me... but fuel pump is possible (though if it's consistent in how long it runs before dying it'd make me question that)

I don't have a 2000 V6 license or else I'd disable it for ya I would try cleaning the resistor on the key real well... I'm not sure how the security system reacts on the GPs ... Is there anything weird in the DIC? (any unusual warnings?)

Oh! Something I just thought of that it may be
there's a common problem on pre 04 GPs ... something about the fuel pump resistor

Casper electronics actually makes a kit to do this resistor bypass thing

Check the dash also when you turn the key on. The theft/security light should illuminate then go out.
If it stays on or flashes there is a VTD problem.
