Has anyone ever had this problem? I guess the computer thinks that someone is breaking into the car so it wont allow the ignition to work.

i had a problem like this, i had a leak around the firewall and after a hardrain or wash. i got the same thing you did, but after 10 to 15 min's the car would start again. i was able to get the car to start by removing the two fuses that run to the pcm, pcm bat and something else. then i turned the key to start the car and left it there while i put the fuses backin and the car started. do not pull the key out before you try to start it, just try to start it again.

Do you have a 2nd set of keys? A friend of mine had an 89 camaro and would not start, ended up being the key. The key has a set mount of ohms per feet (something like that) if it is not up to that rang in ohms you might want to try a different key. There is also a wire in the steering column that sends the signal to the pcm. I have about 11.79 k ohms with my key, there will be a small bit of metal showing on your key, with black plastic around it, test it there
