Cannot get a-tap to connect.....WTF
Cannot get a-tap to connect.....WTF No matter what cable or laptop I use, that fuggin software just won't connect. I have tried 2 different cables and 3 different laptops. My port is not damaged, and I have got it to connect before but it won't stay connected very long. This is pissin me off.....

my USB gives me fits(POS) and it sometimes takes me 4 tries to connect..
i have to use a USB adpater cause i dont have the right one on the puter to work with the one they send

Re: Cannot get a-tap to connect.....WTF The day I received AutoTap, I called the factory with a question. After answering the question, the factory guy asked me which software version I was using. He said that the latest Windows version has bugs and to download version 1.11 - I sometimes have to try a couple times before it connects to the PCM. My laptop has a serial port.

Joe at Autotap tech support is very quick and good. I suggest that you contact support@autotap.com to get your problem solved.

Re: Cannot get a-tap to connect.....WTF All of sudden the laptop won't hook up with the car???? I just read in the previous reply that a blown fuse would cause this. Well, I just burned out or blew out 2 new front corner bulbs (turn signal) I just installed. They were the super white blue color. I thought it looked pretty cool with clear lens I just installed (BTW, piece of cake)....until they blew! I guess the hi-reflective internals in the lens create too much heat for the bulb. So went back to a long-life OEM replacement and they work... I don't seem to have blown a fuse and everything works...I think.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I usually can figure this s#!t out....now, where is ATap's number...of course to late to call. Any ideas tonite would be appreciated..."I got that loggin' feelin'" great stuff...when it works, huh.

Re: Cannot get a-tap to connect.....WTF Blew the fuse for the cig lighter....wouldn't advise an aftermarket lighter with the ATap module. The same fuse for the data connector. The billet lighter looked good...but oh well, ATap is better.
