Why does HPP3 screw up the ecm?

Why does HPP3 screw up the ecm?
I have been reading some posts and it seems some guys are having some problems with thier computers(cars) locking up.I know you don't unplug the unit before down load is finished and also heard thier battery went dead,errr why the problems.

ive had no problems. well, only once-i think i started the car or something and it freaked out. i thought i fried the pcm but it was all good.

The problem occurs when the program is being loaded to your PCM and your connection is interrupted. Either by disconnecting the cable or by battery failure. Both instances can cause your PCM to lock and need re-flashing. Just make sure your battery is in good shape and don't mess with the cable wfile it's programming. Outside of those setbacks, I like the HPP3
